For five years now, the NYC Department of Transportation has been packing the streets in the middle of the summer heat. And boy do those guys know how to throw a party.
For three Saturdays in August (the 4th, the 11th and the 18th), the city will transform Lafaette Street, Fourth Avenue and Park Avenue into a car-free retreat complete with activities, markets, and recreation.
