Art on 8th Street: Gathering Place

For years artists and their admirers have flocked to Greenwich Village. Come February 22nd, a whole new artistic crowd will arrive on 8th Street along with No Longer Empty's new curatorial lab entitled "Gathering Place."

The new art exhibit takes up residence in a formerly vacant storefront at 24 West 8th Street and features works that reflect the area's vibrant history and cultural past. No Longer Empty is an arts nonprofit known for producing engaging public art exhibits and connecting various communities through visual art.

So what will be on view come Feburary 22nd?

The exhibit will feature ten different artists. Some works use found objects from the neighborhood, others require local particiaption and others are simply inspired by the history and architecture of Greenwich Village.

The exhibit will be free and open to the public every Friday through Monday from 1pm-7pm.

For more information on the opening, RSVP on Facebook, visit No Longer Empty's website or click here.

See you at the Gathering Place!
