Every Saturday beginning June 1st and running through October 12, 2013, the Village Alliance will offer free walking tours of Greenwich Village. The tour focuses on the history and social culture of the Village, including St. Marks Place, Astor Place, 8th Street and Washington Square Park.
Tours start at 11:30 AM and run approximately 1 1/2 hours, rain or shine, so plan on staying for lunch! Meet at the southeast corner of St. Marks Place and Second Avenue in front of Chase Bank (130 Second Ave.). No reservations necessary for groups of six or fewer people.
