The Village Alliance works every day to keep Greenwich Village clean, safe, and vibrant. Nearly all of our funding comes from an assessment on commercial properties, most of which are small, independent businesses—even though our work benefits everyone who lives, visits, and works here. Your support helps us do even more to care for our shared neighborhood.
A Greener Village That Works for Small Businesses
Every tree bed and planter installed through Project Green strengthens the Village’s small-business environment — drawing more visitors, improving storefront visibility, and creating a district people want to spend time in.
Small businesses already invest heavily to keep the neighborhood clean and safe. Your contribution helps extend those efforts without adding to their costs — ensuring the Village stays both beautiful and affordable for the independent shops that define it.
