PEN America World Voices Festival
Get the full schedule for April 29–May 2.
The annual literary festival brings authors, journalists, poets, and playwrights from 40+ countries to Greenwich Village to discuss their work in relation and response to the world, writ-large. Think panel discussions and conversations rather than solo readings, and a lineup that mixes marquee names with emerging and international talent.
This year marks the debut of a dedicated stage on Washington Square Park South. Like plenty of other events on the roster, activations in the park (including Saturday’s Indie Lit Fair) are free to attend. Other events focused on democracy & justice, genre fiction, archives & translation, climate, and much, much more will be hosted at familiar Village venues like The Strand, AIA, and Judson Memorial Church.
With so much going on, plan to plan ahead with the full schedule, downloadable below. And make sure to reserve in advance for ticketed events on PEN America’s website—because tickets for Judith Butler will go fast in the Village.
